Hello,

My name is Nicole David, and I am a researcher at Curtin University in Western Australia. My current research project is about internet dating and older people (aged 60+). As you would certainly be aware, market research has shown that significant numbers of older people are using Internet dating services - despite this, most literature about Internet dating still focuses on younger groups of participants (which tends to fuel all the usual assumptions about internet daters, and internet users in general, being young).

I am currently looking for participants for an online survey, which aims to discover more about individuals aged sixty years and over who subscribe to Internet dating services. I am not interested in any kind of personal details regarding relationships formed via Internet dating – just the thoughts, ideas and general impressions of older people in relation to Internet dating and &^%$#$^ online.

This project has ethical approval from the University, and further details about the project are located on the website address below. Participants remain completely anonymous.

If any dating site administrators are reading this, I would like to know if it would be at all possible to bring the survey to the attention of your older subscribers?
